Nancy Hutchings
Vocals and Guitar

is the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. Once dubbed the "Janice Joplin" of Bluegrass because of her strong and gutsy vocals, she definitely leans toward unique and progressive types of Bluegrass arrangements. She is proud to be part of the emergence of women as a formidable force in Bluegrass music today!!

Dick HutchingsDick
Banjo

I learned to play banjo from the "Earl Scruggs and The Five String Banjo" book and many hours of moving the arm of my record player back and forth to the exact location on his albums. Of course there are many masters and I'm still learning from them all and enjoying every minute of it. Some of the players that are inspiring me the most right now are Bela Fleck, Bill Keith and Alison Brown. There are many more and I should mention that lately I've reverted to studying the more traditional banjoists because there seems to be a plethora of great sounding "trad licks" that I've yet to learn. I'll be adding these to my bag of tricks and I hope you enjoy my attempts at putting it all together in my own way on the banjo.
See you soon

Gary Hutchings     Guitar and Dobro

After 15 years, my brother is finally back with Rocky Hollow, which he helped form back in the early 80's. He did a great job then and after shaking off the dust and cob webs, he's doing a great job for us again. He's never been one to be satisfied with one thing so he switches back and forth between flatpicking guitar and fingerpicking the heck out of the resophonic.

  Dan Parker    Upright Bass

When Nance and I asked Dan to be our bass player many years ago, we had no idea what a diamond in the rough we had found. He was just learning to play when we met him but he had a lot of enthusiasm and a love for the music that shone through. He is now the foundation of our music and he sets the time, style, and the mood for each song and without him we probably wouldn't have gotten off the ground. Thanks Dan

Monty McClanahan   Mandolin and vocals

And then there was Monty... I don't know where to begin. He's from Nashville and he plays sings and writes like nobodys buisness. He's the real deal bluegrass mandolin man. Come out and hear him.
